On Aug. 27, Governor Gretchen Whitmer visited our job site in Livonia to learn how Cadillac Asphalt is improving the infrastructure in southeast Michigan. The governor joined Ron Yrlas’s crew to see the paving process firsthand and took time to connect with our team members about the important work they do every day. At the jobsite, Gov. Whitmer drove the pavers, raked asphalt, operated the screed, and learned more about our individual crew members who work long hours to improve Michigan’s roads. This opportunity allowed us to discuss how funding projects like these are crucial for maintaining our state’s infrastructure, and that we need the support of our elected officials to keep our state moving forward.
“Today in Livonia, I was with the hardworking men and women making it happen. They're building the safe, reliable infrastructure Michiganders rely on. Let's protect these jobs, keep fixing our roads, and keep growing our economy. Let's get it done," Whitmer said.
